Pitt ranked No. 20 by USA Today/NWCA this week

MANHEIM, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh wrestling team broke into the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll for the first time this season on Tuesday, landing at No. 20.
The Panthers had an impressive showing last weekend as they defeated former EWL-foe Edinboro and upset No. 15 Wisconsin, improving to 5-1 on the season.
Pitt defeated the Fighting Scots in its home opener Thursday night, 24-9. Seven Panthers recorded wins, including No. 19 Dom Forys (133) by way of pin and No. 9 Mikey Racciato(141).
Two days later, Pitt upset No. 15 Wisconsin at the Fitzgerald Field House, 25-9. The afternoon started with the 285 pounders and saw No. 19 Ryan Solomon pin Brock Horwath in 1:29. Pitt won the following three bouts, including a notable victory by Forys who defeated No. 4 Ryan Taylor, 10-6. At 174 pounds, freshman TeShan Campbell carried his momentum from the previous dual en route to a 13-5 major decision over No. 16 Rickey Robertson.
